Am just busting to do something exciting but the horizon looks pretty bleak and full of non-thrill events.

Saw "the Quiet American" on dvd last Friday and I was pretty pissed off that I missed the cinematic release because it is my new favourite movie. I'm talking of course of the Michael Caine/Brendan Fraser remake... and y'know I loved it not only because Brendan was in it but because it was some of the best acting, cinematography and scripting that has bleeped my screen ever.

I watched it four times in the 24 hours I had the dvd in my possession. Compulsive/Obsessive, sure but it remained an amazing film and just got better with each viewing. Although that being said I am now up to viewing the Addams Family for the 38th time and not many other people would class that as a cinematic masterpiece (but how wrong they are!!!!! it is genius!). After the third viewing of T.Q.A. I figured it was probably a good time to go get some shuteye, but I spent the whole night having weird dreams about ex-boyfriends until my very last dream just before I woke up which was entirely about Brendan Fraser.

It bothers me that I am nearly thirty and am still ga-ga over an unobtainable Hollywood star. Ok, so I at least don't have big posters of him up all over the house, but there's this like 'whoosh' whenever I see him on tele or on film. Goddam, its ridiculous, but its like a huge biological hello - his image, his visage is enough to make me cream my pants. And what kind of weird-arse hormonal trick is that? Spooky, and stupid at the same time.

The dream I had about him after my Quiet American marathon was fantastic though... I would only hope for his wife's sake that he is as fabulous in real life as he is in my dreams.

*sigh* time to go and do some work I guess... but maybe I go trawl e-news and see if there's anything on my favourite preppy college boy.
